Earthy Karoo veld with fresh orange. A dry polish you mix with water or oil.

Kerslig means “candlelight”, and this body polish is made for slow evenings. Its scent is the first thing you’ll notice: kapokbos, asbos and fresh orange that bring the sun-warmed Karoo veld into your bathroom.

The dry polish is mixed with a little water or oil just before you use it, so every scoop is fresh. It leaves your skin feeling smooth, soft and refreshed.

Made in small batches in De Rust.

What's inside
  • We harvest the kapokbos and asbos by hand in the Klein Karoo, then dry and grind them ourselves, together with rosemary, and blend in orange peel. Three salts, sugar, oats and apricot kernel powder gently polish, and a little buttermilk powder and grapeseed oil help leave the skin soft.

How to use

Scoop a small amount into the palm of your hand with a dry spoon.
Add a little water and mix into a creamy paste. For a richer polish, use a few drops of oil, such as coconut or olive oil.
Massage onto damp skin in circular motions.
Rinse with warm water.
Use once or twice a week.

Good to know

Avoid freshly shaved or broken skin, as the salt may sting.
Contains buttermilk powder (dairy).
Keep the polish dry. Scoop it out with a dry spoon and close the lid well, so no water gets into the jar.
