I'm Carla, mother of three, former journalist and the hands behind O, VET!

Our family moved to De Rust in the Klein Karoo. Here I fell in love with simplicity all over again: slower days, open spaces and the wisdom of things that have worked for generations.
O, VET! was born out of a desire to create products that I could use with complete confidence on my own family's skin. I was looking for something that was natural, effective and honest but still felt like a treat every day.
When I discovered the special properties of sheep tallow, something just made sense. Here was an ingredient that had been used for generations, nourishing, protecting and working in harmony with the skin. It became the beginning of a journey to combine ancient wisdom with modern craftsmanship.
Today, every O, VET! product is still made in small batches, the ingredients are carefully selected and with great attention to detail. We believe that skincare doesn't have to be complicated. It should simply work, feel good and remind you to slow down sometimes.
